Study on the Correlation Between Students' Academic Workload and Mental Wellness at Bjemina Primary School

Author(s) Ugyen
Country Bhutan
Abstract This study explores the correlation between students' academic workload and mental wellness at Bjemina Primary School, utilising survey questionnaires as the sole data collection method. The study assessed the relationship between homework burdens and academic burnout among students. Contrary to expectations, the findings revealed no significant link between homework volume and academic burnout levels. Instead, the results suggest that students' ability to manage homework effectively may be influenced by individual factors, including personal resilience, time management skills, and stress tolerance. These findings highlight the importance of acknowledging students' various classroom coping strategies. The study recommends that future researchers delve deeper into these individual factors to comprehensively understand the causes of academic burnout and inform strategies to support student well-being.
