The Ethics of AI in the Administration of Higher Education

Abstract The rising presence of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education carries great promise and peril. This paper will examine the ethics of using AI for the operation of these institutions. Key areas of focus include data privacy, bias in decision making, accountability, and the impact on academic integrity. So is the importance of transparency, stakeholder involvement, and the need for ethical guidelines. The paper closes with suggestions for the responsible adoption of AI systems in higher education.
