Abstract	The shift toward electric vehicles (EVs) is not only a global necessity for sustainable development but also an opportunity for countries like India to reshape their automotive and energy sectors. This paper explores India’s EV economy, delving into the future of automotive transportation. It examines the factors driving EV adoption in India, the challenges the country faces, the role of government policies, and the broader economic and environmental impact. By analysing the dynamics of the Indian EV market, the paper concludes that while significant progress has been made, further efforts are needed to ensure widespread adoption and create a sustainable, inclusive EV ecosystem.
