Author(s) Arati Mule
Country India
Abstract The Vision 2047 initiative represents India’s ambitious roadmap for achieving sustainable economic, social, and environmental goals by the 100th year of independence. This theoretical paper delves into the conceptual underpinnings, objectives, and challenges associated with realizing Vision 2047. Drawing from various economic, social, and environmental frameworks, this study evaluates the necessity of a cohesive, inclusive, and long-term vision for India’s development. Through an extensive literature review, we examine successful development paradigms globally and assess how they can be tailored to the Indian context, fostering self-reliance, social equity, technological advancement, and sustainable growth. This paper also identifies the key pillars of Vision 2047 and the strategies necessary for aligning policy, governance, and society towards achieving these goals.
