Effectiveness of Psychological Skills Training on Resilience and Grit Among Basketball Players

Abstract | The present study aimed to study the effectiveness of psychological skill training (mental imagery and self-talk) on resilience and grit among college basketball players. The sample targeted was the college basketball team – male: 12 and female: 12 for the pre-test. Based on the results of the pre-test the participants with low or normal resilience and grit and high sport imagery ability were selected for the 3-week intervention. The results shows there is no significant effect of PST resilience and grit among the basketball players. |
