Abstract | Argemone mexicana, a traditional medicinal plant, is known for its diverse pharmacological properties. This research investigates the cytotoxic effects and apoptosis induction of isoquinoline alkaloids isolated from Argemone mexicana. The study utilizes various assays to evaluate cell viability, morphological changes, and apoptotic mechanisms induced by these compounds. The findings demonstrate that isoquinoline alkaloids exhibit significant cytotoxicity and induce apoptosis, suggesting their potential as therapeutic agents in cancer treatment. |
