Comparative study on Conventional and Geopolymer Concrete with Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregates using Hemp Hurds

Author(s) Mandolikar Chandram Mallikarjun, Manish Haveri, Diwakar L

Abstract The study highlights that hemp hurd, used as a partial replacement for fine aggregates in concrete (5%-15%), improves workability and promotes sustainability by reducing natural aggregate demand. While compressive strength moderately decreases, tensile strength remains minimally affected at lower replacement levels, making hemp hurd a viable eco-friendly alternative for sustainable construction practices.
