Abstract This project employs YOLOv8, a state-of-the-art object detection model, to detect and track vehicles in real-time for effective traffic management. By processing road video footage, the system addresses challenges like monitoring congestion and identifying accident risks, offering an efficient, scalable solution that outperforms traditional methods, which are often costly and limited in coverage.
