Abstract | This study investigates the prevalence and associated factors of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs) among rice farmers in rural Konkan. Using a cross-sectional design, 100 rice farmers aged 30-60 years were assessed using the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ). Results revealed the highest prevalence of WRMSDs in the lower back (42%) and shoulders (41%) over the past 12 months, with moderate to severe pain levels reported in most cases. Findings emphasize the need for ergonomic interventions and preventive measures tailored to the agricultural workforce. |
