Abstract Child labour is a serious global issue that jeopardises the rights and welfare of millions of kids around the world. International conventions on child employment have become essential tools in the struggle against this widespread problem. With a focus on the major conventions established by the International Labour Organisation (ILO), this article provides an overview of the importance and impact of international agreements. This article discusses the role that these agreements have in establishing norms, increasing awareness, and encouraging coordinated action to eliminate child labour through a study of their provisions and implementation. Additionally, the article discusses the potential future developments and sustainable solutions to strengthen the fight against child labour through international conventions. By highlighting the importance of these multilateral agreements, this article underscores the need for continued collaboration, comprehensive strategies, and the mobilization of resources to eradicate child labour and ensure a brighter future for all children.
