The Gig Economy and Youth: analysing rise of freelancing gig jobs among youth

Author(s) Arihant jindal
Country India
Abstract This study explores how Indian youth (ages 13-23) participate in the gig economy, based on a December 2024 survey of 40 respondents. While digital platforms offer opportunities for financial independence and skill development, young gig workers face challenges like time management and payment issues. The research provides recommendations for supporting this emerging workforce.
