Abstract | Leadership development and succession planning are critical components of organizational sustainability and growth. Effective leadership ensures that organizations are agile, responsive to change, and capable of navigating challenges in dynamic environments. Succession planning, on the other hand, ensures the continuous leadership pipeline, mitigating the risks associated with leadership gaps and enhancing organizational resilience. This study explores the relationship between leadership development programs and the succession planning process, highlighting their role in identifying, nurturing, and retaining leadership talent. Through a review of best practices, case studies, and key organizational theories, the research demonstrates how structured leadership development initiatives can facilitate smoother transitions and improve long-term performance. |
