Author(s) Anchal, Dr. Wijeesh Ronit Saimon
Country India
Abstract The bilateral relationship between the United States and India is expected to be considerably impacted by the re-election of Donald Trump as President of the United States in 2024. This article delves into the historical context of India-U.S. relations during Trump's first term, emphasising critical areas of collaboration such as energy, trade, and defence. It evaluates the potential advantages for India in the context of a Trump administration, with a particular emphasis on strategic partnerships, economic collaboration, and counterbalancing regional adversaries. Furthermore, it addresses potential obstacles that may result from Trump's immigration policies and protectionist policies. In conclusion, this analysis offers a perspective on how Trump's leadership could cultivate a more robust and reciprocal partnership between the two countries.
