Abstract | Cloud computing has revolutionized data storage and retrieval, enabling users to store files remotely. However, this convenience raises security and privacy concerns, particularly in multi-user environments. This research proposes a Highly Secure File Sharing System with Dual Server Data Retrieval and Time-Based Search to ensure secure file access in cloud storage. The system integrates searchable encryption, a dual-server verification model, and an anonymous access request mechanism to provide a multi-authority-based data-sharing framework. Key security measures include AES encryption for file protection, a 30-second time-restricted access window, and shared authority between cloud servers and data owners for file access approval. Users must obtain approval from both the main server and the file owner before accessing encrypted data. The searchable encryption technique enables efficient file retrieval while preserving data confidentiality. The proposed system enhances security through multi-layered authentication, preventing unauthorized access, data breaches, and keyword-guessing attacks. The evaluation results indicate a 98% success rate in authentication and a 90% user compliance rate for timely file access requests. The system’s architecture provides a robust and scalable solution for secure cloud-based file sharing, addressing real-world challenges in collaborative environments. Future research may focus on adaptive security enhancements, insider threat mitigation, and system scalability improvements. |
