Abstract | Containerization technologies, specifically Docker, have transformed the way software applications are developed, tested, deployed, and scaled. Docker’s approach to packaging applications in lightweight, portable containers ensures consistency across environments, reduces overhead, and increases scalability. The paper investigates how Docker enhances each phase of the SDLC, and compares its effectiveness against traditional methods such as virtual machines, particularly in terms of resource management, agility, scalability, and cost. Through a detailed analysis, This study highlights the advantages of containerization and discusses the challenges associated with adopting Docker in large-scale projects. |
