Abstract | The rapid evolution of communication technologies has revolutionized global connectivity while simultaneously escalating the prevalence of cybercrime, commonly called e-crimes. These digital offenses severely threaten individuals, businesses, and nations, affecting millions worldwide. Given the borderless nature of cybercrime, a unified and strategic approach is essential to mitigate its impact. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of cybercrime, exploring its definitions, classifications, and key manifestations. Furthermore, it examines India’s legislative framework for combating e-crimes, offering insights into how legal systems adapt to counter emerging cyber threats. |
