Abstract The digital age has witnessed rapid technological advancements, leading to the emergence of the Dark Web—a hidden part of the internet not indexed by standard search engines. While the Dark Web provides anonymity, it is often associated with illicit activities such as cybercrimes, illegal trade, and hacking. As governments and law enforcement agencies attempt to regulate and monitor this space, cyber laws have evolved worldwide to combat digital crimes. This journal explores the intersection of the Dark Web and cyber law in India and worldwide in the 2020s. It examines the role of cybersecurity, regulatory frameworks, and the challenges posed by anonymous networks. By comparing legal structures in different jurisdictions, this paper highlights the need for international cooperation and robust legal mechanisms to counter threats emerging from the Dark Web while balancing privacy concerns.
