Abstract Since industrial times, the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere has risen from 300ppm to 400ppm. If industrial exploitation persists, the equatorial forest runs the risk of experiencing a click and extinction. The DRC's central basin absorbs between 10.2 billion and 22.8 billion tons of CO2 from greenhouse gas emissions. This is due to climate change.
Finally, revenues from carbon credits can be a driver that would promote an investment of more or less US$20 billion for the sustainable development of infrastructure and environmental conservation in the DRC. Thus, the money generated by carbon credits will essentially play a role in the investment that will guarantee the construction of basic infrastructure in the DRC.
