Abstract | The field of artificial intelligence is making renaissance in various disciplines and bringing out the realistic experience in the research fields. It’s been done in various fields with accuracy and efficiency. Artificial intelligence is playing a vital role in the archaeological research in its various sub disciplines globally. The role of artificial intelligence in various sub disciplines of archaeology enhances the quality of research proving the accuracy and efficiency of the research to great extent. It plays an important role in cultural preservation process, which is very much necessary for a country like India which has a innumerable and invaluable archaeological assets and cultural properties. Those properties should be analyzed, segmented and documented with proper care and necessary records that should be facilitated by artificial intelligence. This article speaks about the need of importance of integrating artificial intelligence in the archaeological research in India. |
