Abstract | Water pollution, driven by industrial activities, urbanization, and poor waste management, significantly impacts ecosystems and human health. Heavy metals like lead, mercury, and cadmium are particularly harmful due to their toxicity and persistence, entering water sources and accumulating in organisms. The use of spinel ferrite nanoparticles (SFNPs) has emerged as a promising solution for removing heavy metals from wastewater, thanks to their high surface area and magnetic properties. This review highlights the potential of SFNPs in enhancing water quality and managing wastewater effectively. |
