Abstract In India, there is a unified judicial system unlike in the USA where double system of courts exist . In the hierarchy of courts, which administer both central and state laws, there is the Supreme Court. (Articles124-147)at the apex, High Courts of the different states and UTs(Articles 214-232), subordinate courts (Articles 233-237) and panchayat courts (set up under the state legislation).Unlike the British judiciary which is highly politicized by the absence of a clear separation of powers, the Indian and American judiciary shares its supremacy with the legislature of the state
