Abstract | This paper presents the design and implementation of a Medicine Stock Management System (MSMS) aimed at optimizing medicine inventory management in healthcare settings. The system integrates medicine management, real-time stock tracking, import/export functionalities, and handling near-expiry and expired medicines to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. Traditional inventory systems suffer from manual inefficiencies, errors, and lack of real-time tracking, leading to wastage and stockouts. MSMS leverages modern web technologies, automation, and role-based access control to ensure secure and seamless inventory management with batch tracking, stock clearance, and predictive analytics for demand forecasting. The proposed system significantly improves waste reduction, efficiency, and transparency in healthcare inventory management. The paper also explores security measures like multi-factor authentication, audit logs, and encryption to protect sensitive data. Future enhancements include AI-driven demand forecasting, blockchain integration for transparency, and IoT-enabled inventory tracking to further improve medicine stock management. |
