Abstract | Bowel or gastro-intestinal infections are the most prevalent problem amongst all age group people. It’s primarily caused by bacteria & virus. Probiotics or good bacteria are the desirable solution for these types of infections. This study was based on the antimicrobial efficiency of probiotic lactobacillus strains against pathogens. Lactobacillus strains isolated from dairy curd. It’s essential extra cellular metabolites were extracted by fermentation process & then tested against Salmonella Typhiimurium & Enterococcus faecalis that are responsible for bowel infection. Results showed positive potential of Lactobacillus metabolites. These metabolites were further investigated on different tolerance that eventually showed inhibition against Salmonella Typhiimurium than Enterococcus faecalis. This can give a way to develop more natural medicament for competing gastrointestinal infection. |
