Abstract	This study examines security vulnerabilities in cloud and edge-computing systems, highlighting challenges like privacy breaches, unauthorized access, and data leakage, worsened by edge computing’s decentralized nature and IoT integration. It proposes solutions using machine learning, encryption, AI, and blockchain, with real-time monitoring and automated responses to enhance protection. Future efforts should improve cloud-edge interoperability, adopt predictive analytics, and use zero-trust architectures. Collaboration is key to setting universal security standards, aiming to secure distributed systems against evolving threats.
