Abstract | Developmental delays in children, if undetected or identified late, can have lasting detrimental impacts on a child's overall development and quality of life. Early detection is crucial, as it enables timely intervention, significantly improving outcomes across cognitive, motor, speech, and social-emotional domains. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a promising technology to enhance pediatric developmental screening processes. This comprehensive review highlights current advancements, methodologies, practical applications, benefits, challenges, and future perspectives of integrating AI-based tools and digital biomarkers into pediatric care. |
