An Enhanced Steganography Technique for Hiding Data in Digital Images Based on LSB Substitution Method

Abstract | Technology has advanced further recently, and data security is now crucial for communication. Steganography is a method for securely communicating with others by concealing confidential information in images. Steganography is a method for securely communicating with another person by concealing confidential information in images. This study suggests an enhanced steganography approach focused on the LSB substitution procedure. The proposed method utilizes Huffman coding to encode the message difference, then encrypt bits, convert to gray code and embedding the encoded data into randomly selected pixels in image channel. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach achieves reduced distortion, improved visual quality, enhanced security, and increased embedding capacity when compared to another method. These findings underscore the potential of the proposed technique for enabling robust and secure data communication. |
