A Study on Reverse Logistics: Managing Returns for Enhanced Customer Satisfaction and Cost Efficiency

Abstract Reverse logistics is an essential aspect of modern supply chain management, involving the return, refurbishment, recycling, and disposal of goods. With the rapid expansion of e-commerce and sustainability initiatives, businesses are increasingly focusing on optimizing reverse logistics for cost efficiency and improved customer satisfaction. This study explores key trends, challenges, and technological advancements in reverse logistics. It also highlights the role of efficient return policies, automation, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) in reducing costs and enhancing customer experience. The findings suggest that businesses adopting strategic reverse logistics solutions can achieve higher profitability while promoting sustainability.
