Abstract | Women empowerment refers to the process of increasing the social, economic, political, andpsychological strength of women to ensure equal opportunities, access to resources, andparticipation in decision-making at all levels. The concept emphasizes the importance ofempowering women to exercise their rights, build their confidence, and contributemeaningfully to society. Empowerment is not only about improving the quality of life forwomen but also about fostering gender equality and creating a more just and balanced world. The empowerment of women involves addressing barriers such as gender discrimination, inequality in education, limited economic opportunities, and violence against women.Policies and initiatives focused on women’s empowerment—ranging from education andhealthcare to legal rights and political participation—are crucial for sustainable developmentand social progress. This abstract explores the multidimensional nature of womenempowerment, the challenges women face globally, and the strategies required to breaktraditional societal norms and create a supportive environment for women to thrive.Ultimately, empowering women contributes to the betterment of society as a whole, as itenhances the potential of half of the population to drive economic, cultural, and socialtransformation. |
