Implementation of Hybrid Encryption Algorithm

Abstract The vulnerabilities of using a single encryption system in messaging systems has proven to become increasingly problematic in recent days, this paper provides a new form of encryption to be used in such systems. The proposed system is a new combination of two very prevalent encryption algorithms namely the Vigenere encryption algorithm and the Base-64 encryption (also known as B64 encryption). The combined encryption algorithm is made by using the Base-64 encryption followed by the Vigenere algorithm. Each message sent by the user is secured after being greatly enhanced through this encryption technique.
