Abstract | Fuzzy logic is used to simulate the ambiguity and uncertainty in decision making. Artificial Neural Network is a computational network similar to the neural network of human brain. Like human brain computational elements called neurons are arranged in different layers of the network. Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) model combines the advantage of Fuzzy logic and Neural networks to capture the complex non-linear relationship between different datas. A case study is conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the ANFIS model in forecasting flood of River Barak. The result obtained show that ANFIS model can predict flood accurately and timely. |
