Abstract	The integration of grid and digital library technologies has resulted in software infrastructure that is perfectly suited to the generation and management of data. Data grid provides support for the organization, management, and application of processes in the digital library and in managing the digital entities in cyber environment. To build an effective digital library librarian need vast amount of storage space and have to invest large amount in buying storage oriented hardware. The emerging trends on grid technology brought new solutions for improved storage and access of information in digital library environment.
