Abstract Data-driven testing is a critical approach in software development that allows testing logic to be separated from test data, providing greater flexibility and reusability. With the growing importance of automated testing in modern software development, developers are increasingly utilizing data-driven testing methodologies. This paper explores the implementation of data-driven testing in two prominent programming languages, Java and JavaScript, focusing on the usage of JSON and XML formats for test data. This paper also provides an in-depth analysis of how these languages can be used to facilitate efficient, scalable, and maintainable automated testing systems. The benefits of each format (JSON and XML) are discussed, along with practical examples of how these can be integrated into Java and JavaScript testing frameworks. A discussion on best practices, potential challenges, and comparative analysis of performance and scalability concludes the study.
