The Role of Social Networks in Economic Development and Entrepreneurship

Abstract This research paper aims to explore and analyze the significant role of social networks in driving economic development and fostering entrepreneurship. Social networks, both online and offline, have gained immense prominence in recent years due to their potential to connect individuals, facilitate information sharing, and create conducive environments for entrepreneurial activities.
By examining theoretical frameworks, empirical studies, and case examples, this paper highlights how social networks influence various stages of economic development and entrepreneurship, including idea generation, resource mobilization, market access, knowledge dissemination, and innovation. The paper also discusses potential challenges and implications associated with social network-driven economic development and suggests policy considerations to harness the positive effects of social networks for sustainable economic growth.
