Abstract | Background: Fall from height are the second most common cause of injury-associated mortality after road side traffic accidents. They comprise a significant percentage of blunt trauma abdomen cases. Blunt abdominal trauma can result in complications such as hemoperitoneum due to injuries to solid organs such as spleen, liver, kidney and may even cause a retroperitoneal haematoma. It can also cause various modalities of injuries to hollow viscus such as stomach, small and large intestines. |
