Abstract The term "digital marketing" became popular in the 1990s. Digital marketing advanced as a powerful tool for building a deeper and more relevant relationship with customers in the 2000s and 2010s. The process of establishing and maintaining customer relationships through online activities in order to facilitate the exchange of ideas and products in order to achieve objectives is known as digital marketing. Digital marketing is frequently referred to as online marketing or internet marketing, but this is incorrect. The terms "online marketing" and "internet marketing" are often used interchangeably, but they are both incorrect. Because they are both based on the Internet, many people mistakenly believe that digital marketing and inbound marketing are the same thing, but it is under category of digital marketing.
