Abstract Real-time power status monitoring and alerting is a crucial component of companies such as Internet Service Providers (ISP). These kinds of solutions are desired in order to avoid accidents that result in loss of life, loss of financial data, and damage to devices. Additionally, it helps to take the appropriate intervention if necessary. Due to the sensitivity of this problem, businesses, and organizations such as the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) have been using a variety of strategies and AI technologies for disaster management. To overcome the limitation of these methods, industries like Microsoft Azure are trying to use Internet of Things (IoT) based solutions because it is light, flexible, and lower operating cost. In this research, we propose the Thingsboard, an IoT based open-source platform, along with raspberry-Pi for collecting and monitoring the voltage and current related data from the different sites and managing alerting systems based on their status. This system has been successfully implemented for ISP companies.
