eConsults as a Clinician Decision Support Tool: An Instructive Device for Clinicians
Author(s) | Varun Gadia |

Country | India |
Abstract | eConsults today provide Primary Care Practioners (PCP) with an easy way to understand whether the diagnosis they have given to patients is correct or wrong. Furthermore, eConsults educate Primary Care Practioners (PCPs) on the different ways in which a patient is diagnosed by a specialist under various complications. eConsults are more of an educational than a consultation tool for Primary Care Practioners. Additionally, almost 80% doctors say they do not rely on eConsults only for Diagnosis but for education. Therefore, eConsults have clinicial significance as Clinical Decision Support System rather than a Diagnosis System. |
