Abstract The banking sector is experiencing a seismic shift driven by the exponential growth of data. This research paper delves into the imperative need for data warehousing in the banking sector. The advantages are elucidated, emphasizing enhanced decision-making, regulatory compliance, and customer-centric services. Furthermore, the paper explores the futuristic outlook, envisioning the integration of AI and machine learning for predictive analytics. It also talks about a few real life case studies which show the application of such technologies. Challenges such as data security and privacy, data quality, and scalability are also addressed. In an era of digital transformation, data warehousing is not merely an option but a strategic necessity for banks to thrive in a data-centric financial landscape.
