Abstract | Cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverters have been developed for applications including user interface of renewable energy, voltage regulation, VAR compensation, and harmonic filtering in power systems. A modified cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter (MLI) is implemented for solar applications. Multilevel inverter based on cascaded H-bridge topology will help in the reduction in number of switches. This concept helps to reduce the complexity of switching compared to other multilevel inverters. In this paper, cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverters output is validated with a combination of RLC load. With the increase of the levels of inverter the total harmonic distortion will be reduced. |
