Abstract | In this paper, I present the design and implementation of a low-cost, low-power, industrial-grade sensor node optimized for hazardous environments such as construction sites, chemical plants, and mining operations. These sensor nodes facilitate mesh networking, offering extensive communication range and robust data collection capabilities, essential for enhancing safety and optimizing industrial processes. Our design focuses on creating the smallest possible sensor nodes with significant energy efficiency, reliability, and adaptability to various industrial sensors. This paper also discusses the architecture, system implementation, and performance evaluation of the sensor nodes in real-world applications. |
