Abstract | The study aims to compare the serverless and microservices architectural patterns in the FinTech sector in 2021. It looks at the history of these architectures, their key concepts as well as complex techniques of applying these architectures to a Fintech context. Some of the main issues tackled in the study are specific to these architectures; they include security, compliance, scalability, and data consistency problems typical for the FinTech industry. Thus, the study presents a performance evaluation of serverless and microservices for financial services based on the analysis of performance indicators and the use of actual cases. The study concludes that while there are relative merits in both architectures, most FinTech firms are integrating the two to gain the benefits of both. |
