Gender Wage Gap and Its Economic Implications

Abstract Gender wage gap is a significant socio-economic issue for people and economies around the world. It refers to the gap in remuneration between women and men, usually given as a percentage of what men are paid. Despite significant progress in combating gender discrimination, the pay gap remains, demonstrating that root causes remain unaddressed. The study analyses the source of the wage gap, its economic impact, and how to reduce income inequality between genders.
